“Travelling on music notes - the popularize of natural heritage and resources and cultural heritage of the cross-border region” - eMS 578

What’s the goal?

The main objective of the project is to increase the tourist attractiveness of the Vidin-Oltenia cross-border region and to promote the local natural beauty and cultural values by using the modern creative industries and creating an innovative cultural event.

What’s the budget?

211,000.50 euro, out of which 179,350.42 euro ERDF

Target at the half of the implementation period: 50,764 euro for LB and 8,000 euro for B2

Who is doing it?

Lead Beneficiary (LB): Sinfonietta - Vidin (Bulgaria)

Beneficiary 2 (B2): „Oltenia” State Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania)

When is it happening?

Start date: 13.11.2018

End date: 12.11.2019

Duration: 12 months

Where is it happening?

Vidin in Bulgaria

Dolj in Romania

How is it going to happen?

  • Forming a Joint Symphony Orchestra
  • Preparation, conducting and promotion of Music Festival
  • Creation of a “Music Guide”
  • Creating a Strategy for Promoting the Musical Culture and the Development of Music Tourism

What will be the results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs: 2 integrated tourism products/services created and 1 common strategy, policy or management plan for valorising (including raising awareness) the cultural and natural heritage through its restoration and promotion for sustainable economic uses

Programme results: 600 tourist overnights in the CBC region

Project status

The project is in early implementation. Will be back with details after the beneficiaries submit the first progress report.
