ROBG-453 “Development of tourism potential, protection and promotion of the common heritage”

What’s the goal?

The main objective of the project is to support the sustainable socio-economic development of the cross-border region by enhancing the tourism potential related to the development and marketing of competitive tourist products.

What’s the budget?

1,219,951.26 euro, out of which 1,036,958.56 euro ERDF

Target at the half of the implementation period: 83,000 euro for LB and 79,000 euro for B2

Who is doing it?

Lead Beneficiary (LB):General Toshevo Municipality

Beneficiary 2 (B2): Murfatlar Municipality

When is it happening?

Start date: 12.09.2018

End date: 11.09.2020

Duration: 24 months

Where is it happening?

Dobrich in Bulgaria

Constanta in Romania

How is it going to happen?

  • Training and enhancing the capacity of local communities. Conducting of thematic camps
  • Creation of common tourist products. Conducting of tourist forums and exhibitions
  • Realization of studies, research, information system, tourism development strategy

What will be the results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs:7 integrated tourism products/services created, 5,000 expected number of visits to supported sites of cultural and natural heritage and attraction, 3 common strategies, policies or management plans for valorising (including raising awareness) the cultural and natural heritage through its restoration and promotion for sustainable economic uses

Programme results: 3,500 tourist overnights in the CBC region

Project status

The project is in early implementation. Will be back with details after the beneficiaries submit the first progress report.
