“Joint risk management for efficient reactions of the local authorities in the emergency situations”

What’s the goal?

The main objective of the project is to improve joint risk management in the cross-border area covered by the two municipalities: Calarasi and Belene.

What’s the budget?

987,468.06 euro, out of which 839,347.84 euro ERDF

Target at the half of the implementation period: 22,331 euro for LB and 9,955 euro for B2

How is it going to happen?                      

  • Preparation of the workshop "Best practices in the prevention of crisis situations in the cross-border region"
  • Development of an on-line platform providing information for prevention and management of crises
  • Building capacity in risk management in Belene and Calarasi

What will be the results (what’s the contribution to the Programme)?

Programme outputs: 82,891 people benefiting from actions of risk management, from flood protection measures and from forest fire protection measures, 1 joint partnership in the field of joint early warning and emergency response

Programme results: Improved quality of the joint risk management in the CBC area

Project status

The project is the 27th month of implementation out of 30 months:

   The workshop "Best practices in the prevention of crisis situations in the cross-border region" was organized in Belene.

   Parts of the equipment (1 Drone, 5 Chainsaws, 5 Snow removal machine manual and 5 brushcutters) were delivered and the rest (1 Backhoe Loader, 1 movable and 2 stationary aggregates, 5 Snow removal machines, Garbage transportation machine, 1 Tractor with trailer, snow blower and sand spreader) are expected to be delivered atthe end of December 2020.

   Calarasi Municipality, B2 has purchased and received 3 bobcats, 1 Water removal vehicle, 2 Snow removal vehicle, 1 loader. The only equipment that has not been delivered is the work platform, which will be delivered on the end of December 2020.

   The online platform ( ) for providing information for prevention and management of crises – fires, natural disasters, accidents and floods was implemented and is being populated by the two municipalities, Belene and Calarasi.

     All indicators with the last project report were reported and the project indicators could be achieved in accordance with the application form could be achieved and the project activity will be finalized with the final three months until March 2021.
